Job summary

DUKE Raleigh Hospital, A Campus of Duke University Hospital in Raleigh, NC, seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to coordinate and perform in vivo and in vitro studies, calibrate radiopharmaceuticals, and operate imaging equipment. You will ensure patient safety, maintain records, and train staff while delivering high-quality imaging and care.

Eligibility requires ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification within 18 months, with experience levels ranging from Level I to Level III depending on modality.

Qualifications

• ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification required within 18 months of employment.
• Two years' experience as Nuclear Medicine technologist for Level II.
• Four years' experience in the specialty modality for Level III.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and perform in vivo and in vitro studies with imaging equipment.
• Calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceuticals for patient administration.
• Calibrate instruments and review calibration data for trends.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and process data.
• Maintain inventory and records for radiopharmaceuticals and disposal.
• Provide instruction and training to students or staff.
• Monitor department safety and contamination checks.
• Assist in new procedures and physician consultations as needed.
