Job summary

Duke Health is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to coordinate and perform advanced nuclear medicine procedures at Duke University Hospital in Durham. You will calibrate radiopharmaceuticals, operate imaging devices, and ensure accuracy of patient studies while maintaining strict safety standards.

Must hold ARRT (N) or NMTCB certification with up to 18 months to obtain. Level II/III experience and strong teamwork are valued in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• ARRT (N) certification and/or NMTCB certification within 18 months of employment.
• Experience level varies; Level II requires 2 years, Level III requires 4 years in the specialty.
• Understanding of radiation safety and protection is required.
• BLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in in vivo and in vitro nuclear medicine procedures.
• Calibrate and prepare radiopharmaceuticals for patient administration and check calibration data.
• Evaluate images for technical quality and review data trends.
• Maintain inventory and records for radiopharmaceuticals and equipment.
• Provide instruction and guidance to radiologic teammates and trainees.
