Duke Health's Nuclear Medicine team in Durham, NC, seeks a qualified Nuclear Medicine technologist adept at in vivo/in vitro studies and radiopharmaceutical handling. The role requires ARRT or NMTCB certification with a plan to obtain within 18 months, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Graduate or completion of program that meets eligibility requirements for registry/certification.
• ARRT/NMTCB certification within 18 months of employment; BLS certification.
• Level II requires two years' experience as Nuclear Medicine technologist.
• Level III requires four years' experience in the specialty modality.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and participate in in vivo and in vitro studies using radioactive materials and measurement instrumentation.
• Calibrate radiopharmaceutical materials for administration; review calibration data for instrument reliability.
• Evaluate recorded images for technical quality; process image data including SPECT.
• Provide instruction to radiologic technology students or other advanced imaging techs; assist training.
• Monitor department with portable survey meter for contamination; ensure safety practices.
