Job summary

Siemens Healthineers is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist for a permanent staff position in Raleigh or Durham, NC. You will join our partner hospitals to perform SPECT and PET imaging, prepare radiopharmaceuticals, and ensure patient safety throughout procedures.

The role requires ARRT(N) or NMTCB registration, CPR, and at least 1 year of NM experience or clinical rotation. You will work with radiologists and healthcare teams, contributing to high-quality imaging and patient care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of accredited nuclear medicine technology school.
• 1 year of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or successful rotation during education.
• ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry; CPR and ARRT(N)/NMTCB registration; SCSQRSA license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and educate patients with informed consent and safety, and monitor during procedures.
• Accurately prepare, administer, and document radiopharmaceuticals; manage inventory and disposal of radioactive materials.
• Perform nuclear medicine imaging procedures (SPECT, PET); analyze data and draft preliminary reports.
• Operate and maintain imaging equipment; conduct QA tests and address equipment issues.
• Collaborate with radiologists and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Maintain up-to-date regulatory knowledge and pursue ongoing education.

Education Requirement

• Certification Program - Graduate of accredited nuclear medicine technology school

Experience

• 1 year of experience working as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist, or;
• Successful completion of a Nuclear Medicine clinical rotation during a formal education program

Licensure/Certifications

• ARRT(N) or NMTCB registry
• CPR and ARRT(N) registered and/or NMTCB registered
• SCSQRSA License

• Operate and maintain imaging equipment, conducting regular quality assurance tests. Identify and address equipment malfunctions, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Work closely with radiologists, physicians, and healthcare teams to deliver comprehensive patient care. Provide technical support and consultation regarding nuclear medicine procedures and findings.
• Adhere to all regulatory standards, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of industry requirements. Engage in continuing education to maintain certification and stay current with technological advancements.
