Job summary

NYU Langone Florida is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform prescribed nuclear medicine studies in West Palm Beach, ensuring patient safety and regulatory compliance. The role includes radiopharmaceutical preparation, imaging, data management, and collaboration with physicians.

The candidate will operate gamma cameras, manage dose calculations, and participate in quality control and education activities, with flexibility for variable scheduling.

Qualifications

• Associate degree/certificate from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology.
• Florida Radiologic Technologist License in Nuclear Medicine is required.
• ARRT-N or NMTCB certification required.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and review orders for accuracy.
• Explain procedures and obtain consent as required.
• Prepare patients for procedures ensuring comfort and safety.
• Administer radiopharmaceuticals and perform imaging per protocols.
• Monitor patients and respond to adverse reactions or emergencies.
• Operate imaging equipment and ensure high-quality diagnostic images.
• Format and transmit imaging data to PACS with proper anatomy.
• Maintain safety and regulatory compliance in all procedures.
• Provide guidance to students during clinical training.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team to ensure efficient patient care.
