Job summary

Wellstar Health Systems in Augusta, GA seeks a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging exams per department procedures, ensuring patient safety and quality studies. The technologist will operate NM equipment, prepare patients, and maintain documentation to support accurate diagnoses.

Requires an Associate degree in Radiologic Technology, ARRT Nuclear certification or equivalent, and 1 year of clinical Nuclear Medicine experience.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Radiologic Technology.
• Minimum 1 year of clinical patient care experience.
• Nuclear medicine experience preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Technology certification or equivalent; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates the ability to adjust technique to optimize image quality.
• Performs patient prep, positioning, and comfort measures for procedures.
• Maintains equipment and performs routine QA to ensure reliability.
• Adheres to infection control, safety, and privacy policies during all exams.
• Collaborates with radiologists and technologists to ensure accurate results.
