Job summary

Yale NewHaven Health's Bridgeport Hospital seeks a qualified Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diverse Nuclear Medicine procedures and maintain safety standards.

The role requires CNMT certification, graduation from an approved Nuclear Medicine Technology program, and experience in Nuclear Medicine; PET experience preferred. On-site position with comprehensive radiology services and patient-centered care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved program in Nuclear Medicine Technology.
• Experience in Nuclear Medicine Technology; PET imaging is preferred.
• CNMT Certification.

Responsibilities

• Performs all Nuclear Medicine procedures.
• Maintains records in accordance with NRC license and radiation safety guidelines.
• Prepares radiopharmaceuticals for administration and administers to patient.
• Enters all patients' information into the RIS per department protocol.
• Monitors department radiology safety and radiation levels.
• Orders supplies and maintains inventory of radiopharmaceuticals.
• Trains new staff, residents and students as required.
• Plans and implements care for adult patients with developmental considerations.
• Chaperones patients when necessary.
