Job summary

UChicago Medicine in Chicago’s Hyde Park area seeks an Imaging Team Leader (Nuclear Medicine) to support daily operations across multiple imaging facilities. The role focuses on quality control, proper labeling, and coordination with physicians, technologists, and Radiology Engineering to maintain smooth patient throughput.

You will supervise technologists, review exams for quality, orient new staff, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Current NMTCB registry and license where required.
• Minimum of three years experience as technologist in Nuclear Medicine.
• CPR training, BLS training recommended.
• Effective communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assigns staff to work stations and manages daily workflow.
• Reviews Radiology exams for data accuracy and proper labeling in RIS.
• Checks image quality and advises technologists on adjustments as needed.
• Performs exam verification in RIS and directs patient flow.
• Reports malfunctions and coordinates with Radiology Engineering.
• Acts as a lead and role model for staff technologists.
• Ensures regulatory compliance and participates in continuing education.
