Job summary

University Hospital is seeking a Manager of Nuclear Medicine to plan, organize, and direct daily operations in the Nuclear Medicine and Radiology departments. You will supervise administrative and technical staff, manage budgets, and ensure regulatory compliance.

You will lead staffing, training, performance appraisals, and recruitment while coordinating with the Director Radiology to optimize patient access and workflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field required.
• Graduate of an accredited Nuclear Medicine program with valid NJ license.
• ARRT or NMTCB Certification and current NJ registration required.
• At least five (5) years of relevant professional experience, including two (2) years of clinical patient care.
• Two (2) years (three (3) preferred) as a lead or supervisor.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction for Nuclear Medicine and Radiology departments.
• Define authority and delegate duties to staff.
• Maintain competency of all technical staff and ensure training.
• Manage daily operations and optimize patient access, scheduling, and care.
• Ensure quality radiologic exams and adherence to department protocols.
• Monitor volumes and physician utilization; propose improvements.
• Communicate effectively with staff, physicians, and patients.
• Attend committee meetings representing Radiology.
