Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Specialist for PRN daytime coverage. The role supports the Nuclear Medicine Department with high cardiac exam volume and inter-hospital teamwork in a five-star hospital setting.

You will operate with ARRT Nuclear Medicine credentials, CNMT/CMRT upon hire, BCLS current, and an accredited radiologic or nuclear medicine education. Associates degree preferred; 2 years in nuclear medicine preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine required.
• Associates degree preferred.
• 2 Years in nuclear medicine preferred.
• ARRT Nuclear Medicine certification required upon hire.
• CNMT and CMRT certifications required upon hire.
• BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.

Responsibilities

• Explain procedures to patient or guardian / family member prior to exam.
• Position patient to correct anatomical area of interest.
• Perform complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
• Adjust technique parameters appropriately for age related factors.
• Assist radiologist with complex and invasive procedures using aseptic technique.
• Maintain attention to details.
• Process and manipulate images, analyzes image quality, troubleshoots, makes technique adjustments, or repeat procedures as needed; utilize downtime procedures for PACS and HIS / RIS.
• Correctly send and transfer images to PACS.
• Print laser images, CD, or sends images from modality, Ambra, or PACS.
• Coordinate with Scheduling and other modalities for patient care.

Here’s What You Need

Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology or nuclear medicine required or

Associates Degree preferred

2 Years in nuclear medicine preferred

ARRT - American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Nuclear Medicine upon hire required or

CNMT - Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist upon hire required and

CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist either by the TDH or TMB upon hire required and

BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required

What You Will Do
