Job summary

Texas Health Plano is seeking a Vascular/ Cardiac Sonographer on a PRN days schedule. You will perform Echocardiograms, Stress Echocardiograms, and vascular studies, delivering high-quality patient care in a diverse environment.

Candidates should have an HS diploma or equivalent, an associate degree in ultrasound technology preferred, and cardiac experience. RDCS/RCS/RVT/RVS or BCLS credentials required at hire.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Associate degree from accredited school of Ultrasound Technology preferred.
• 1 year prior experience preferred.
• Cardiac experience highly preferred.
• RCS RDCS RVT or RVS certifications required or hire-eligible.
• BCLS required prior to providing independent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Explains procedures to patient or guardian/family member prior to exam.
• Performs complex procedures including age related criteria and developmental considerations.
• Adjusts technique parameters appropriately for age related factor.
• Produces quality Echocardiogram, Stress Echocardiogram, Transesophageal Echocardiogram, and/or Vascular studies following department policies and procedures, as well as IAC standards.

LOCATION:

Texas Health Plano is located at 6200 W Parker Rd, Plano, TX 75093

SCHEDULE:

PRN Days. Hours would be 8:30-5 if during week and 7-1 if on weekend. One week of call per month, must respond within one hour.

THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED:

• H.S. Diploma or Equivalent required
• Associate degree from accredited school of Ultrasound Technology preferred
• 1 year prior experience preferred
• Cardiac experience highly preferred
• RCS – Registered Cardiac Sonographer upon hire required OR
• RDCS – Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer upon hire required OR
• RVT – Registered Vascular Technologist upon hire required OR
• RVS – Registered Vascular Specialist upon hire required AND
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly required.
