Job summary

US Heart and Vascular is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Assistant to join Pima Heart and Vascular in Tucson, AZ. The role requires a high school diploma or GED and completion of a Medical Assistant program, with travel between clinics up to 25%.

Responsibilities include preparing stress rooms, interviewing patients, recording vital signs, operating EKG and treadmill equipment, scheduling tests, and assisting with injections and treatments. Cardiac experience is preferred but not required.

• Schedule patients for tests
• Gives injections or treatments
• Screens telephone calls/emails
• Preps and perform treadmill stress tests for patients
• Monitors NUC/PET schedules to maintain full schedules
• Start IVs and run nuclear cameras
• Travel is required between clinics
• Other related duties may be assigned
