Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures under radiologist direction.

You will handle radioactive materials, verify QA, and contribute to department productivity while working on-site across multiple Moffitt locations. On-call hours and a Monday–Friday schedule may apply.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
  • Active licensure in radiologic technology; ARRT/ARRT (N) or CNMT credentials encouraged.
  • Licensure must meet Florida requirements and state/federal regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures as requested.
  • Receive, prepare, and administer radioactive materials per guidelines.
  • Verify QA for unit doses and equipment; ensure department productivity.
  • Work scheduled hours and on-call shifts across multiple sites.

Summary

Under the broad direction of the Radiologist, the Supervisor of Nuclear Medicine/PET and the Diagnostic Imaging Center Manager the Nuclear Medicine Technologist shall perform both diagnostic and therapeutic Nuclear Medicine procedures on selective portions of the anatomy as requested by the clinician in the following age criteria: adolescence 12-18 years, young adults 19-30 years, mature adults 30-45 years, older adults 46-65 years and aging adult 66 and older.

Responsible for the receipt, preparation, utilization, and administration of radioactive materials as determined by state and federal laws and department guidelines. Reviews and verifies that the QA performed in unit doses received from outside vendors and equipment meets department and state guidelines. Must contribute to the overall department productivity and operation. Must be able to work scheduled and "ON CALL" hours, as appropriate. Must be available to work in multiple sites/locations, MCC, MMH, MKC, MIP., MSS, as appropriate. Hours: Monday - Friday 6:00am - 2:30pm
