The Lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Moffitt Cancer Center will assist the supervisor in overseeing all technical aspects of the Nuclear Medicine Department, ensuring daily workflow, radiopharmaceutical dosing, and equipment quality control.

Under the broad direction of the Nuclear Medicine Authorized User, Director, MD and the Supervisor of Nuclear Medicine, the lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist shall assist the supervisor in overseeing all technical aspects of the Nuclear Medicine Department at Moffitt Cancer Center. The lead technologist shall be responsible for the day to day workflow of the department, radiopharmaceutical dosing computer, staff assignments, oversee equipment quality control, clinical and research trials to include phantom and instrumentation requirements. The lead Nuclear Medicine Technologist is responsible for technical training of the staff in correlation with clinical and research protocols with the ability to obtain diagnostic images as requested by the clinician on patients. Assist the supervisor with implementing research trials to include writing imaging protocols, attend site visits, and communicate with research coordinators. The lead technologist will act as liaison with the radiologists to the staff technologist with regards to technical issues or protocol updates. The lead technologist is responsible to oversee the daily operation of the Nuclear Medicine Department in the absence of the supervisor. The lead technologist is able to make appropriate troubleshooting and critical decision making ability for proper maintenance and safety of the equipment. Must be able to work weekends, varied hours, scheduled and "ON CALL" hours.
$45.02 - $68.72 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
