Job summary

Moffitt Cancer Center is seeking a medical technologist to perform and report laboratory test results across hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry and basic blood banking. With further training, you may handle referral lab tasks and paperwork, quality control, and contribute to procedure updates.

Youll also assist training and clerical duties for smooth department operations. Shifts include Saturdays and minor holidays.

Summary

Performs and reports the results of laboratory tests in the areas of routine hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, chemistry and basic blood banking. With additional training, technologists will perform basic referral lab ordering and paperwork. Performs quality control and quality assurance duties. Participates in the evaluation of new procedures and equipment. Assists in the writing and revising technical procedures. Assists in the training of others. Assists with miscellaneous functions required to maintain the smooth operation of the department such as clerical duties, reagent preparation, and inventory control activities. The medical technologist exercises broad independent judgment and requires minimal technical supervision to complete assigned tasks.

Shift Schedule

Saturdays and Minor holidays are required.

Salary Range

Salary Range $33.62 - $51.27 Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
