About This Position

Nuclear Medicine/Molecular Imaging Technologist (Nuclear Med/Molecular Imaging Tech) – Full‑time, day shift, 40 hours per week.

We offer a relocation reimbursement of up to $5,000 for eligible candidates, a $15,000 sign‑on bonus, and updated higher rates for 2024. Potential pay ranges from $49.88 to $63.27 per hour based on qualifications.

Position Summary

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Providing empathetic and instructional patient care, monitoring, and education.
  • Procurement, preparation, quality control, dispensing, dose calibration, administration, and disposal of radiopharmaceuticals and related medications.
  • Administering adjunct oral and IV medications and contrast under the direction of an authorized user.
  • Performing quality control procedures on imaging, laboratory, and computer equipment.
  • Operating imaging, laboratory, and computer instrumentation for nuclear medicine procedures.
Job Requirements
Education
  • Bachelor’s of Science in a scientific field with a certificate in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program; or
  • Associate’s Degree in Nuclear Medicine Technology from an accredited program plus 2 years of experience by hiring date.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
  • Registered as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMTCB or ARRT (NM)).
  • Advanced certification in at least one of the following: NMTCB (PET), NMTCB (NCT), ARRT (CT), ARRT (MR).
  • Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist License.
  • NIH Human Subjects Protection in Research Certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and/or CPR certification.
Experience
  • Preferred experience in molecular/nuclear imaging – SPECT/CT/PET/MR/optical fusion imaging.
Knowledge and Skills
  • Strong knowledge of cross‑sectional anatomy and medical terminology.
  • Ability to apply analytical skills to imaging processes, techniques, and procedures.
  • Working knowledge of Nuclear Medicine Information System (NMIS), Radiology Information Systems (RIS), and Hospital Information Systems (HIS).
  • Excellent time‑management, judgment, and team‑oriented attitude.
  • Professional appearance and interpersonal communication skills to interact with patients, students, and staff.
  • Adherence to safety standards set by the Radiology Department, BMC, and regulatory agencies.
