Job summary

Sargent & Lundy in the United States is seeking a Project Manager to lead cross-disciplinary teams of engineers, designers, and controls professionals in the modification and analysis of nuclear power plant projects. You will coordinate internal and external stakeholders through the entire project lifecycle, ensuring safety, schedule adherence, and budget compliance.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering from an ABET-accredited program.
Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary teams.
10+ years in the power industry.
5+ years as a firm/client liaison in a lead role.
Ability to multitask and manage priorities.
Experience delivering modification packages for operating nuclear plants.
Knowledge of nuclear codes, standards and regulations for mechanical design.
Engineering design experience.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative team setting.
Schedule and budget development and management.

Responsibilities

Manage project execution and coordinate resources from each discipline.
Own all aspects of performance including safety, schedule, budget, reporting, and client experience.
Direct and mentor project team members.
Maintain relationships with client task engineers and stakeholders.
Lead efforts to ensure on-time, on-budget project completion.
Support KPI reporting for schedule and budget.
Identify and control construction risk.
Track and manage change control.
Prepare and review modification packages and technical documents for nuclear plants.
Prepare specifications and procurement documents; evaluate vendor bids.
Communicate with stakeholders and supervisors.
Produce reports and studies meeting client requirements and company formats.
Analyze issues and provide solutions.
