Job summary

The Nuclear Regulatory Commission in Rockville, Maryland seeks a Sealed Source and Device Reviewer to perform safety reviews of sealed source and device applications and support NRC policies and guides on byproduct material use.

You will conduct technical safety reviews, evaluate radiological safety of license applications, and provide guidance to management on department priorities. Telework eligibility is noted for this position.

Qualifications

• Professional engineering knowledge required, per OPM standards.
• ABET-accredited degree or equivalent.
• P.E. license or EIT can satisfy requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform full range of duties as Sealed Source and Device Reviewer.
• Conduct technical safety reviews of sealed sources and byproduct materials.
• Review license applications, technical reports, and related materials.
