Job summary

Holtec International is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, E-FIN, to act as a key liaison among Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance for safe, reliable plant operations at the Covert, MI site.

The role emphasizes addressing plant issues, supporting engineering changes, and driving equipment reliability and performance improvements. A PE is preferred, with 5–7 years of related experience in nuclear environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field required.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in nuclear power, power generation, plant operations, engineering, maintenance, or related technical field.
• Strong understanding of nuclear generation principles, plant operations, and engineering fundamentals.
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex equipment and system issues and develop effective technical solutions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with engineering change processes, corrective action programs, configuration management, and system reliability initiatives.
• PE registration or progress toward licensure preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support Operations and Maintenance in troubleshooting plant systems and equipment, recommending technical solutions.
• Interface with Operations and Maintenance to develop maintenance strategies and improve reliability.
• Prepare and implement engineering changes, including design/modifications and temporary fixes.
• Support project planning, prioritization, and execution throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop engineering documents and ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe and reliable plant operation.
