Job summary

Holtec is seeking a Mechanical Engineer, E-FIN, to bridge Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance for safe, reliable plant operation. You will troubleshoot complex plant issues, develop maintenance strategies, and implement engineering changes to improve equipment performance.

The role calls for a Bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering, 5–7 years of nuclear experience, and strong communication. PE licensure is a plus. Hybrid work options are available in Michigan.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related field required.
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in nuclear power or related technical field is preferred.
• Experience supporting plant systems, reliability programs, or maintenance projects is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Assist Operations and Maintenance in troubleshooting plant systems and equipment.
• Develop cost-effective maintenance strategies with Operations and Maintenance.
• Prepare and implement engineering changes, including design and temporary modifications.
• Support project planning, prioritization, and execution throughout the lifecycle.
• Implement corrective actions and engineering solutions for equipment deficiencies.
• Develop engineering products and documentation per standards and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure safe, reliable plant operation.
• Provide engineering support during outages and maintain required qualifications.
