Job summary

Mesa Associates, Inc. is seeking a Mid-Level Mechanical Engineer to support the design, analysis, procurement, construction, and implementation of modifications at nuclear facilities.

The role involves preparing mechanical deliverables, conducting field investigations, and collaborating with engineers, designers, project managers, clients, and vendors in a controlled design environment. Qualifications

• ABET-accredited BS in Mechanical Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant mechanical engineering or design experience.
• Experience preparing engineering calculations, specifications, drawings, or reports.
• Working knowledge of mechanical codes, standards, and regulations.
• Strong technical writing, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare mechanical calculations, evaluations, specifications, drawings, and reports.
• Support piping systems, mechanical equipment, HVAC, and pressure-retaining components.
• Review inputs, drawings, calculations, procedures, and vendor data to establish design.
• Conduct field walkdowns to verify conditions and collect measurements.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, I&C, procurement, construction, and project management teams.
• Develop or support engineering change packages and ensure compliance.
