Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. in Mount Vernon, Indiana offers a Manufacturing Engineer Intern (Summer 2027) role. You will work with our engineering team to create/update drawings, design tooling, perform testing and analysis, and assist with project management and procurement.

This paid internship includes a housing stipend for eligible interns and a chance to present your projects to the team. Applicants must be enrolled in a mechanical, civil, or manufacturing engineering program and be a sophomore

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering Technology program.
• Sophomore or higher at the time the internship begins.

Responsibilities

• Work alongside our Engineering team to create and update drawings and procedures.
• Assist in designing products and tooling solutions for a nuclear environment.
• Participate in testing and analysis to support engineering projects.
• Contribute to project management and procurement of materials as needed.
• Present projects and insights to the team at internship completion.

Education

Mechanical/Civil/Manufacturing Engineering or Technology programs
