Qualifications

  • Bachelor-level degree in engineering or science; strong regulatory background.
  • 8+ years in engineering, project management, or licensing/regulatory affairs.
  • Experience drafting regulatory submissions, RAIs, or environmental documents.
  • Experience with NRC/DOE/state regulator interactions.

Responsibilities

  • Develop regulatory strategy and licensing plans under Director guidance.
  • Use AI-driven tools to speed review and NRC submission prep.
  • Manage licensing schedules, track commitments, and monitor docket activity.
  • Supervise licensing staff and provide technical coaching.
  • Coordinate cross-disciplinary inputs for applications and ensure technical accuracy.
  • Review regulator documents for accuracy and consistency.
  • Draft regulatory responses and RAIs for submission.
  • Interact with regulators during audits and meetings.
  • Monitor regulatory developments and brief stakeholders.
  • Support budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning for licensing.
  • Support safety culture and quality integration in licensing.
