Job summary

KBH Industrial is actively seeking regulatory professionals in Richland, WA to support significant nuclear station initiatives and client objectives. The role interfaces with Engineering Projects, plant teams, vendors, industry peers, and NRC, providing regulatory and technical support with increasing independence at Engineer level.

The position emphasizes knowledge of licensing, environmental processes, and communication with non-technical audiences, with a pathway from Level II to Level III

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge of general engineering principles, practices and theories and ability to solve routine problems.
• Ability to apply more advanced techniques under guidance and provide guidance to others on Regulatory Affairs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite tools.
• Effective written and verbal communication tailored to non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to ES&D management to assure nuclear safety, licensing, and regulatory issues are identified, addressed, and resolved.
• Provide strategic guidance to ES&D management on regulatory and environmental project performance.
• Represent the Client with regulators, industry groups, workshops, and conferences.
• Understand Environmental Review needs including field and onsite visits as needed.
• Collaborate with licensing and environmental experts to address license renewal issues.
• Keep ES&D management updated on licensing and environmental policies, rules, and standards.
