Job summary

KBH Industrial in Richland, WA seeks a Regulatory Support professional to assist with significant station initiatives and client objectives, interfacing with Engineering Projects and regulatory bodies. At Engineer level, tasks are performed with limited independence.

The role requires knowledge of nuclear safety, licensing, and environmental considerations, with opportunities to work with regulators and industry groups. Four 10-hour workdays are typical, with per diem and expenses eligible.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of general engineering principles and ability to solve routine problems.
• Ability to apply advanced techniques under guidance and mentor others in Regulatory Affairs.
• Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office products.
• Strong written and verbal communication for non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultation to ES&D management on licensing and regulatory issues.
• Offer strategic guidance on regulatory and environmental project performance.
• Represent the client with regulators, industry groups, and conferences.
• Understand Environmental Review needs and conduct field/onsite visits as required.
• Collaborate with licensing and environmental law experts to resolve process issues.
• Keep ES&D management updated on policy and standards.
