Job summary

Spectra Tech, Inc. seeks a Regulatory Engineer to provide regulatory support for station initiatives and Energy Northwest objectives.

You will interface with Engineering Projects, plant organizations, vendors, industry peers, and the NRC to ensure nuclear safety and compliance. Level II/III responsibilities include applying engineering principles, contributing to license renewal efforts, and collaborating with licensing and environmental teams to resolve regulatory issues and support aging

Qualifications

  • Requires knowledge and ability to apply general engineering principles, practices and theories, and methods to identify and solve routine problems.
  • Requires ability to use standard Microsoft Office suite products.
  • Requires effective written and verbal communication skills with ability to cater to audiences which are non-technical or have varying levels of technical proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide regulatory support for significant station initiatives and/or Energy Northwest objectives, interfacing with Engineering Projects, plant organizations, vendors, peers, and NRC.
  • Provide consultation to ES&D management to assure nuclear safety, licensing, and regulatory issues are identified, addressed, and resolved.
  • Represent Energy Northwest with regulators, industry groups, workshops, and conferences; understand Environmental Review needs; support licensing/environmental discussions and policy updates.
