Job summary

Holtec International is seeking a Nuclear Licensing Engineer II to apply engineering and regulatory knowledge to US licensing requirements for complex nuclear systems. You will work on licensing documentation, safety analyses, and certifications in a cross-functional team environment, aligning with 10 CFR Parts 50 and 52.

The role involves preparing topical and technical reports, defending licensing positions, and delivering presentations to diverse stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering from an accredited college.
  • 2-4 years experience with NRC regulatory affairs.
  • 4-8 years experience in the nuclear field (commercial or military).
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills and effective communication.

Responsibilities

  • Support development of licensing requirements and documentation for nuclear systems with engineering teams.
  • Prepare, review, maintain, and defend licensing documentation for the SMR-300 design.
  • Prepare and defend position papers for areas needing new or revised regulatory requirements or guidance.
  • Prepare and deliver licensing presentations to internal and external organizations.
  • Support project management for licensing submissions and related activities.
  • Eligible to work under 10 CFR Part 810 without specific authorization.
