Job summary

Arizona Public Service (APS) seeks a reliable Instrumentation and Controls (I&C) Technician to support Palo Verde's critical plant systems. You will calibrate, test, and troubleshoot instrumentation, loop controllers, and PLC-based control systems using Ovation, Foxboro Spec 200, and Rockwell PLCs, ensuring safe, reliable operation.

Overtime opportunities exist during planned outages in April and October. The role requires attention to detail, strong technical knowledge, and adherence to safety

Qualifications

• Three years in instrumentation and control field
• Exposure to industrial work environments, shift work, and overtime
• PVNGS Apprentice Program or GPQ completion
• EEI MASS test administered

Responsibilities

• Calibrate, test, troubleshoot plant instrumentation and controls
• Calibrate loop controllers and read schematics/P&IDs
• Maintain records of repairs and maintenance activities
• Assist with system upgrades and commissioning
• Work with engineering to improve reliability and efficiency
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance
