Job summary

Discover International is seeking maintenance and instrumentation & controls professionals with Navy nuclear experience for opportunities within the civilian nuclear industry. We’re interested in connecting with transitioning service members and veterans who bring hands-on troubleshooting skills, strong procedural discipline and experience working with complex plant equipment.

Qualifications

Navy Nuclear Propulsion training completion or equivalent technical training.
Hands-on maintenance experience as a Nuclear Electronics Technician, Electrician’s Mate or Machinist’s Mate.
Ability to interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams and system drawings.
Experience troubleshooting electrical, electronic, instrumentation or mechanical systems.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and procedural compliance.
Ability to work independently and collaborate within a technical team.

Responsibilities

Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, controls and electrical equipment.
Troubleshoot equipment faults using schematics, technical manuals and diagnostic instruments.
Calibrate and test pressure, temperature, flow and level instrumentation.
Support equipment installation, startup, commissioning and functional testing.
Complete maintenance records and document equipment deficiencies and corrective actions.
Coordinate with operations and engineering teams to return equipment to service.
Follow established procedures for equipment isolation, work control and safe maintenance.
