S&ME is seeking a Geotechnical Engineer or Geologist in Columbus, Ohio, to support high-profile nuclear projects. You will engage in field investigations, data analysis, and ensure compliance with regulations, while performing diverse tasks such as monitoring site conditions and collaborating with contractors.

The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Geology and 2 years of relevant experience, showcasing strong adaptability and technical skills in demanding environments. A comprehensive benefits package, including medical and 401(k), will be offered.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, geology, or consulting.
• Field subsurface exploration experience is required.
• Experience with nuclear projects or in regulated environments is a plus.
• EIT, GIT, Professional Engineer (PE), or Professional Geologist (PG) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support civil, geotechnical, and environmental projects focusing on nuclear sites.
• Conduct soil borings, testing, and oversight activities.
• Analyze subsurface conditions and prepare technical reports.
• Perform field inspections and ensure project compliance.
