Job summary

Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman LLP seeks an associate to support its Nuclear & Fusion Energy practice, with opportunities to engage with the broader Energy Infrastructure Projects group.

The role focuses on drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial, procurement, development, and project agreements, while supporting energy project development, financing, and regulatory matters related to nuclear energy, fusion, and other advanced energy projects.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in transactional, commercial, project development, and/or finance work.
• Ability to own and manage substantive workstreams and client relationships.
• Experience in nuclear energy, advanced reactors, fusion, or highly regulated infrastructure valued but not required.
• Engineering or technical background, prior military experience, or security clearances valued but not required.
• Prior or current Am Law 100 firm experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating commercial, procurement, development, supply, and other project agreements.
• Support energy project development, financing, commercial transactions, nuclear fuel and supply arrangements.
• Regulatory, licensing, adjudicatory, appellate, compliance, and export control matters related to energy projects.
• Work involves advanced nuclear, small modular reactor, fusion, and other emerging energy and infrastructure projects.
• Engage with the Nuclear & Fusion Energy practice and the broader Energy Infrastructure Projects group.
