Job summary

BCG Attorney Search supports a law firm in Washington, DC, seeking a mid-level associate for its Energy practice with a focus on Nuclear & Fusion. The role offers exposure to broader Energy Infrastructure Projects and regulatory matters.

The candidate should have 3–5 years of experience in complex transactions, energy, infrastructure, or project finance, and be admitted to the District of Columbia Bar (or eligible to waive in). A J.D. is required.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience in energy, infrastructure, or project finance.
• Experience at Am Law 100 firm preferred.
• Engineering or technical background valued but not required.
• Admission to the District of Columbia Bar or eligibility to waive in.
• J.D. or foreign equivalent; LL.M. considered in lieu of J.D.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, procurement, development, supply, and other project agreements.
• Support energy project development, financing, commercial transactions, and nuclear fuel and supply arrangements.
• Work on advanced nuclear, small modular reactor, fusion, and other emerging energy and infrastructure projects.
• Support regulatory, licensing, adjudicatory, appellate, compliance, and export control matters related to energy projects.
• Manage substantive workstreams and assume increasing responsibility for matters and client relationships.
• Collaborate with attorneys across practices and offices on complex domestic and international matters.
