Duke Energy is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer to support the Oconee Nuclear Station and potentially other plants in the Nuclear Fleet. The role can be filled at Engineer III or Senior Engineer level depending on experience and may involve hybrid onsite work.

The position emphasizes regulatory compliance, engineering analysis, and field support to ensure fire protection programs meet NFPA codes and licensing requirements across multiple facilities.

Competenze

Fire protection subject matter expertise and regulatory compliance
Ability to prepare for NRC/INPO/NSRB/NOS inspections
Provide engineering and field support to identify and resolve issues
Work across multiple nuclear plants within the fleet as needed

Serve as fire protection SME ensuring NFPA and licensing standards compliance
Provide engineering and field support to identify, analyze, and resolve fire protection issues
Support PRAs, NSCA updates, surveillance testing, pre-plans and impairment monitoring
Prepare for and support NRC, INPO, NEIL, NSRB, NOS inspections and audits
Monitor fire protection system performance and respond to operating experience
