Duke Energy Corporation, based in Charlotte, NC, seeks a Nuclear Engineer for the Brunswick and Oconee projects within the Nuclear Design (BOND) group. You will design and analyze fuel cycles, support criticality safety, and interact with vendors and site engineers.

Hybrid work is available after onboarding, with some travel to Duke sites and conferences. Applicants should have ABET-accredited engineering degrees, and may hold an advanced degree.

Formación

• BS in Engineering from ABET accredited program; MS may be substituted in lieu of BS
• Meeting ANSI requirements per AD-LS-ALL-0011 for personnel qualifications
• Nuclear power plant experience and BWR fuel cycle design analysis experience preferred

Responsabilidades

• Participate on or lead reload design teams to design fuel cycles
• Develop and verify analyses associated with fuel cycle designs
• Develop, qualify, and maintain in-house codes for fuel cycle designs
• Qualify vendor codes used in support of fuel cycle designs
• Interface with fuel vendor during reload design and issue support
• Perform owner acceptance reviews of vendor calculations
• Interface with site Reactor Engineering for technical support
• Perform nuclear criticality safety reviews and analyses
• Participate in technical training activities
