Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company LLC is seeking a Field Service Technician II to support Rotating Equipment Services at nuclear power plants worldwide. This full-time, onsite role is based at the Waltz Mill site in Madison, PA, with travel required to outage locations.

You will perform preventive and reactive maintenance on reactor coolant pumps, motors, and related equipment while adhering to strict safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• Travel 10-25 weeks per year (typical) depending on outage season schedule.
• Maintain Unescorted Access status (Fitness-for-Duty and Behavioral Observation programs)
• Work with hazardous materials in a radiological environment with a Safety First mentality
• Carry and lift 50 lbs, climb ladders, work in tight spaces, and possess full range of motion.

Responsibilities

• Obtain reactor coolant pump, motor, and seal-related qualifications to support outage assignments
• Disassembly, inspection, repair, reassembly, and testing of reactor coolant pump, motor, and seal-related components
• Set up, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot field service equipment for reactor coolant pump, motor, and seals
• Document issues, anomalies and lessons learned to enable corrective actions
• Perform service center operations including equipment maintenance, decontamination, pre/post-shipment activities, material handling, and calibration
• Perform tasks with minimal supervision, high quality and in accordance with policies
• Oversee projects and small teams with predetermined goals and resource leads
• Participate in hands-on and computer-based training, as assigned
• Contribute to training program development and instruction as applicable
• Cross-training and cross-utilization based on business needs
