Job summary

S&ME Inc. is seeking a motivated Field Geotechnical Engineer / Geologist in Charlotte, NC to support complex nuclear projects. You'll engage in field subsurface exploration, data analysis, and documentation while collaborating closely with project teams and stakeholders.

The role requires a solid understanding of geotechnical engineering or geology, with a bachelor's degree and relevant experience in the nuclear sector being highly desirable. Travel is required as part of the job.

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience in geotechnical engineering or geology.
• Experience working on nuclear projects or in highly regulated environments is a plus.
• EIT, GIT, Professional Engineer (PE), or Professional Geologist (PG) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct fieldwork in various geological environments and support nuclear projects.
• Analyze geological data and develop engineering recommendations.
• Prepare technical reports and ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
