Job summary

Y-12 National Security Complex seeks an UPF Work Control Planner to provide planning support for corrective and preventive maintenance, fabrication, modification, and outage planning at the Y-12 Complex.

The role involves preparing job packages, hazard analysis, and coordinating with engineering and safety teams to ensure safe, compliant execution and timely availability of materials. Strong communication and sequencing skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Associate degree with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Must meet DOE O 426.2A requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare job packages per established processes and procedures.
• Participate in hazard identification and hazard analysis in a nuclear facility.
• Serve as primary contact between the organization and the customer requesting maintenance work.
• Interface with Engineering, Industrial Safety, Industrial Hygiene to obtain input on job methods.
• Sequence work activities and develop a job plan for execution.
• Ensure work permits are obtained, if required.
• Ensure timely availability of materials and supplies."
• Strict application of environmental, safety, health, security, and plant protection regulations.
• Apply government regulations to maintenance activities.
• Support scheduling and ensure job packages provide proper instructions for safe work.
