Job summary

Lightbridge Corporation is seeking an experienced Nuclear Facility Manager to lead the SHED pilot facility in Idaho Falls, overseeing startup, commissioning, and sustained operations. You will manage day-to-day activities, safety, and regulatory compliance under NRC/DOE oversight, ensuring reliable production of HALEU-related fuel elements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum 10 years in nuclear facility operations, with 5+ years in supervision/management.
• Experience with NRC/DOE licensed facilities and 10 CFR Parts 20/40/70/830.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily fabrication operations and safety programs while ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Develop and own facility procedures, work control systems, and readiness programs.
• Coordinate with DOE/NRC, customers, and regulators during inspections/licensing.
• Oversee training, staffing, maintenance, and performance metrics for safe, reliable operations.
• Lead commissioning, startup, and transition to sustained operations.
