Job summary

SHINE Technologies seeks a Maintenance Manager to oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, testing, repairs, and calibrations for a new isotope production facility under construction. You will build and lead a technical team ensuring safe, reliable operations and coordinate with construction and operations through commissioning.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, extensive nuclear facility experience, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
• Minimum three years in a supervisory or management role.
• Minimum eight years in Navy Nuclear or nuclear facility engineering, operations, or maintenance.
• Strong communication, conflict management, and change-management skills.
• Ability to work safely in an industrial and radiation environment.
• Willingness to accommodate non-standard hours, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment and a robust safety culture.
• Develop, establish, and implement maintenance policies and procedures for the nuclear facility.
• Provide equipment maintainability expertise for design and construction documentation.
• Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance planning and execution for isotope facility equipment.
• Support warehousing, construction, and testing activities as needed.
• Interface with construction to ensure a seamless transition to operations.
• Coordinate with operations, engineering, and vendor personnel to resolve issues.
• Ensure validation and ongoing maintenance and calibration per quality requirements.
• Determine staffing requirements and assist in hiring/training new employees.
• Provide leadership to maintenance staff.
• Develop and manage the maintenance department budget.
