Job summary

SHINE Technologies in Janesville, WI seeks a Maintenance Manager to lead preventive and corrective maintenance for a first‑of‑its‑kind isotope production facility. You will build a capable team and develop maintenance strategies to assure reliability and safety in a nuclear environment.

Reporting to leadership, you will coordinate with operations, engineering and vendors, manage budgets, and drive calibration, testing and validation activities while ensuring compliance with NRC/ DOE standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Minimum 8 years in Navy Nuclear or nuclear facility engineering, operations, maintenance, or NRC/DOE environment.
• Technical understanding of nuclear facility technology and operation.
• Outstanding communication, conflict management and change management skills.
• Ability to work safely within an industrial and radiation environment.
• Non-standard work hours including nights and weekends may be required.

Responsibilities

• Promote a safe work environment and robust safety culture.
• Develop and implement maintenance department policies, programs and procedures.
• Provide equipment maintainability expertise for facility design and construction.
• Plan, execute and document preventive and corrective maintenance for isotope production equipment.
• Support warehousing, construction and testing with resources and scoped work.
• Coordinate with construction, testing, commissioning and operations teams.
• Interface with operations, engineering and vendors to resolve technical issues.
• Ensure calibration and validation activities meet quality requirements.
• Determine staffing needs and hire/train maintenance staff.
• Provide leadership and development to maintenance personnel.
• Develop and manage the maintenance department budget.
