Job summary

SHINE Technologies, LLC seeks a Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead the mechanical engineering organization for the Chrysalis Project, a first-of-a-kind facility enabling access to critical medical isotopes. You will shape a major nuclear technology program from design through construction, startup, and readiness, reporting to the VP of Engineering.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive engineering experience.
• 5+ years in engineering leadership, managing engineers/technical contributors.
• Experience in quality/configuration-controlled environments.
• Ability to balance technical quality, safety, schedule, and priorities.
• Excellent communication of risks, tradeoffs, and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of ~6 mechanical engineers and oversee ~6 engineering contractors.
• Set priorities, staffing plans, resources, and performance expectations.
• Ensure technical quality and timely delivery of designs, specs, and procurement packages.
• Support licensing, regulatory, quality, and configuration-management of deliverables.
• Coordinate with Operations, Construction, Procurement, and other disciplines.
• Support construction, startup, and operational readiness activities and issue resolution.
• Drive engineering process improvements and governance.
• Represent Mechanical Engineering in reviews at project and executive levels.
