Job summary

Aalo Atomics is seeking an Engineering Manager for Nuclear Facilities to lead the Idaho-based engineering organization, ensuring safe, reliable, and properly configured facility systems during operation, maintenance, and modification. The role reports to the Director of Nuclear Safety & Engineering and guides Cognizant System Engineers and facility engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline (Mechanical, Electrical, Nuclear, Civil) or equivalent.
• Demonstrated experience leading engineering teams or multidisciplinary programs.
• Strong knowledge of system engineering, maintenance engineering, configuration management, and change processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Cognizant System Engineers and facility engineers across Idaho facilities.
• Define roles, responsibilities, priorities, and technical ownership; ensure quality, responsiveness, and rigor.
• Oversee system health indicators, trends, backlogs, reliability issues, and obsolescence risks.
• Coordinate engineering interfaces with Nuclear Safety and project teams; ensure proper documentation and testing.
• Support design turnover, commissioning, and transition of new systems to sustained ownership.
• Foster cross-functional relationships with Operations, Maintenance, Nuclear Safety, QA, Procurement, and Construction.
