Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency is required.
• Two (2) years minimum experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred; lesser experience with formal training may be considered.
• Ability to operate mobile lifts, lift trucks/tow motors, electric trucks, hand trucks, and pallet movers.
• Ability to work above and below floor level.
• Ability to read prints, process sheets, sketches, and bills of materials.
• Willingness to work all shifts and adhere to PPE and safety requirements.
• Ability to pass medical and background checks and pre-employment requirements.
• U.S. citizenship is required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Fitting, aligning, assembling, and securing components and sub-assemblies of varying size and design.
• Rigging and installing lifting equipment and fixtures to components; assembling and disassembling components, tools, and fixtures.
• Assisting crane operators with movement of parts; operating pendant and jib cranes.
• Attaching thermocouples.
• Wrapping wire on electrical preheats and maintaining tight tolerances.
• Flushing and cleaning components; painting components, tooling, and fixtures.
• Torquing closures for hydro-testing; setting up and operating vibrational conditioning and hydro equipment.
• Chipping, grinding, milling, and tapping to fit, remove defects, or prepare for NDE, inspection, or painting.
• Assist with loading and tying down components and shipping equipment as required.
