Job summary

BWX Technologies, Inc. seeks an Environmental/Waste Management professional to support NRF projects in Idaho. The role requires in-depth regulatory knowledge and independent problem solving to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.

You will lead waste characterization, packaging, storage, and disposition activities, while interfacing with clients and providing technical guidance to coworkers. A U.S. citizenship and security clearance readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in an applicable field.
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant environmental and/or waste management experience.
• Advanced degree may substitute for some years of experience.
• In-depth expertise in environmental and waste management requirements and knowledge of regulatory areas.
• Ability to independently analyze and solve complex technical and regulatory problems.

Responsibilities

• Prepare sampling and analysis plans per SW-846.
• Characterize materials for disposal per RCRA/TSCA requirements.
• Ensure documents contain compliant waste management instructions for various waste streams.
• Provide technical leadership and guidance on complex issues.
• Interface with clients to meet NRF environmental objectives.
• Lead projects or activities with moderate scope and risk.
