U.S. Fleet Forces Command in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Engineering Technician (Nuclear) to lead and support the nuclear training program.

You will plan and manage complex engineering projects, deliver training, and serve as a consultant to shipyard management and outside organizations. The role involves developing seminars and lectures across broad to detailed nuclear topics, and strict adherence to naval nuclear work policies and practices.

Qualifications

  • Crafting and delivering nuclear training to the engineering community.
  • Planning, revising, modifying, and organizing technical training curriculums (nuclear theory, radiological controls, security, safety).
  • Applying operational knowledge of the Naval Nuclear Propulsion Program.
  • Coordinating training interfaces with shipyard departments and divisions.
  • Conducting studies, surveys, drills and internal audits to evaluate training objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize and accomplish complex engineering technical projects for nuclear training.
  • Consult with shipyard management and external organizations.
  • Develop, arrange and moderate seminars and conferences including classroom training and lectures.
  • Adhere to naval nuclear work concepts, practices, policies and philosophy.
