Job summary
Naval Nuclear Laboratory seeks an entry level Curriculum and Teaching Assistant for the Reactor Engineering School (RES). You will assist in educating engineers and scientists in reactor design and program work, developing curriculum resources, and supporting instructors.
The role involves curriculum development, grading, and day-to-day RES operations, including setting up audio-visual equipment for in-person and remote learning.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related engineering or science field
- Strong foundation in mechanical, nuclear, and/or electrical engineering
- Experience with curriculum development and instructional support
- Strong communications skills
- Programming skills with NNPP tools
Responsibilities
- Assist in the education of engineers and scientists involved in reactor design and program work
- Develop new curriculum resources and test computer models
- Assist in grading homework and exams and support RES operations
- Set up RES audio-visual equipment for in-person and remote learning
