The selected candidate will join a multidisciplinary reactor performance analysis team that is responsible for routine and emergent support of the FORD Class; this includes performing reactor system performance analyses, supporting reactor core manufacturing, and developing reactor system performance improvements.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn thermal and hydraulic analysis codes used for reactor performance analyses, prepare and execute analyses using high performance computing systems, and make determinations regarding reactor plant performance and operations.

The Naval Nuclear Laboratory is operated for the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) by Fluor Marine Propulsion, LLC (FMP), a wholly owned subsidiary of Fluor Corporation.
