Job summary
The Duke Energy Probabilistic Risk Assessment (PRA) department is seeking an Engineer to support the Risk-Informed Capital Initiatives team. This role involves developing, maintaining, and deploying risk-informed tools to enhance safety, optimize operations, and ensure regulatory compliance across the nuclear fleet.
The engineer will work with experienced staff to perform engineering analyses, manage tasks with limited supervision, and contribute to documentation and knowledge sharing within
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
- Minimum of 4 years of engineering experience.
- 1 year of nuclear power plant experience.
- Master's degree may substitute for BS.
Responsibilities
- Support development and implementation of risk-informed applications across the nuclear fleet.
- Provide engineering and technical support under guidance from experienced engineers.
- Apply rigorous methods to support risk-informed solutions that optimize safety and regulatory compliance.
- Plan, organize, estimate, schedule, and monitor assigned work activities.
- Collaborate with and seek guidance from more experienced engineers while sharing knowledge with peers.
