Job summary

A Veteran-Owned organization is seeking multiple Mid to Sr. Nuclear Engineers to contribute to advanced reactor development in the U.S. This remote opportunity requires engineers experienced in system design, thermal analysis, safety analysis, and fuel handling. Ideal candidates have a background in commercial nuclear operations and regulatory environments. Qualifications

  • Experience in nuclear power and advanced reactors (SFR, SMR, Gen IV).
  • Strong understanding of regulatory and safety requirements.
  • Nuclear industry experience within commercial operations or DOE programs preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and scaling of next-generation reactor technology.
  • Conduct multidisciplinary coordination for reactor systems integration.
  • Perform thermal-hydraulics, heat transfer, and fluid modeling.

Job description

Employment Type: Long-term contracts. Eligible for unlimited extensions and able to stay fully remote for entirety of contract.

Pay Range: $52-135 hr depending on the specific role, experience & location

*Compensation varies based on skills, experience, and location where candidate lives.

Our advanced nuclear client is seeking multiple Mid to Sr. Nuclear Engineers across a range of disciplines to support the continued development and scaling of next-generation reactor technology.

We are actively hiring engineers with experience in:

  • System Design Engineering (reactor systems integration & multidisciplinary coordination)
  • CFD & Thermal Analysis (thermal-hydraulics, heat transfer, fluid modeling)
  • Safety Analysis (licensing support, accident analysis, PRA, transient modeling)
  • Fuel Handling & Core Component Design
  • Fluids & Thermal Systems Engineering
  • Plant Integration & Balance of Plant

This is an opportunity to contribute to advanced reactor development at a pivotal time in the industry. Ideal candidates will have experience in nuclear power, advanced reactors (SFR, SMR, Gen IV), DOE or commercial nuclear environments, and a strong understanding of regulatory and safety requirements.

Nuclear industry experience is strongly preferred, particularly within commercial nuclear operations, DOE programs, or advanced reactor development environments.
