Job summary

Zap Energy is seeking a Director of Commercial Development to build strategic customer relationships that will shape the company's long-term growth. This role originates, structures, negotiates, and executes complex commercial agreements with hyperscalers, industrial customers, utilities, government organizations, and other energy-intensive enterprises.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in energy commercial development or related fields.
• Proven track record closing long-duration energy contracts.
• Experience negotiating PPAs and offtake agreements at high value.

Responsibilities

• Lead origination, structuring, and execution of complex commercial agreements.
• Build and manage a strategic pipeline of opportunities with key customers.
• Collaborate with engineering, finance, legal, and leadership to finalize deals.
